Artificial Intelligence (AI)-Enabled Cyber Attacks and FIMI (Information Manipulation)

Artificial Intelligence (AI)-Enabled Cyber Attacks and FIMI (Information Manipulation) Training is a practitioner-level course covering two converging threat domains: the weaponization of AI against technical systems, and the use of AI to conduct large-scale information manipulation. The course spans adversarial machine learning attacks against AI models, generative AI-powered social engineering and deepfakes, the DISARM framework for modeling influence operations, and mathematical detection methods for coordinated inauthentic behavior networks. Each section combines foundational theory with operational frameworks and real-world case studies.

What You'll Learn

  • Explain the AI Vulnerability Storm and how agentic systems create the Lethal Trifecta conditions for autonomous data exfiltration.
  • Identify adversarial machine learning attack types including data poisoning, FGSM, PGD, and Carlini-Wagner, and apply defense-in-depth countermeasures.
  • Recognize AI-generated social engineering tactics and deepfake techniques, and understand why traditional authentication controls fail against synthetic identity fraud.
  • Detect and defend against prompt injection, goal hijacking, and RAG poisoning in agentic AI environments.
  • Use the DISARM framework to map FIMI operations to T-codes across the Plan, Prepare, Execute, and Assess kill chain phases.
  • Detect coordinated inauthentic behavior using bipartite graph analysis, TF-IDF weighting, graph pruning, and perceptual hashing.
  • Integrate FIMI intelligence into CTI workflows using STIX 2.1, DISINFOX, and OpenCTI, and apply cognitive inoculation strategies to build societal resilience.
